OSHA 10 Hour Maritime 7615 – Shipyard Employment

This training program is intended to provide entry-level safety and health-hazard information tailored to shipyard employees involved in ship repairing, shipbuilding, and shipbreaking. This entry level course focuses on hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention; not OSHA standards.
This OSHA 10 Hour Maritime 7615 – Shipyard Employment Course meets the requirements of NAVSEA Regulation 009-74. Sections 3.21 and 3.21.1
This training is conducted on two separate days per OSHA training guidelines.

Training topics covered:

  • Confined and Enclosed Spaces
  • Electrical
  • Fall Protection/Scaffolding
  • Fire Protection
  • Hazard Communications/Hazardous Materials
  • Introduction to OSHA
  • Lockout/Tags-Plus
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Walking and Working Surfaces

These training topics are for open-enrollment training, for site specific, or company specific training some of these topics can be changed to meet site, or company training needs.

After successfully completing this training, students will receive a downloadable certificate of completion (within 24 hours) and will be mailed a Department of Labor (DOL) course completion card (allow 3-4 weeks for card delivery).

Course Department of Labor (DOL) completion cards expire in five years from date of issue. To retain a valid 10 Hour card, students are required to retake the OSHA 10 Hour Maritime 7615 – Shipyard Employment course within the five year period.

 

OSHA 10 Hour Maritime 7617 – Marine Terminal Employees

This training program is intended to provide entry-level safety and health-hazard information tailored specifically to marine terminal employees. This entry level course focuses on hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention; not OSHA standards.

This training is conducted on two separate days per OSHA training guidelines.

Training topics covered:

  • Electrical
  • Fall Protection
  • Fire Protection
  • Hazard Communications/Hazardous Materials
  • Introduction to OSHA
  • Material Handling
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Walking and Working Surfaces

These training topics are for open-enrollment training, for site specific, or company specific training some of these topics can be changed to meet site, or company training needs.

This training program is intended to provide entry-level safety and health-hazard information tailored specifically to Longshoring employees. This entry level course focuses on hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention; not OSHA standards.

This training is conducted on two separate days per OSHA training guidelines.

This training program is intended to provide a higher knowledge level for managers, supervisor, and workers with safety responsibilities. This safety and health-hazard information is tailored to Shipyards and employees involved in ship repairing, shipbuilding, and shipbreaking. This training focuses on hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention; not OSHA standards.

This training is conducted on four separate days per OSHA training guidelines.

  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Confined and Enclosed Spaces
  • Ergonomics and Proper Lifting Techniques
  • Electrical
  • Fall Protection
  • Fire Protection
